Mother's Cranberry Bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Beat egg lightly in a small bowl; stir in orange rind
and juice, butter and hot water. add to dry ingredients; mix thoroughly.
Fold in cranberries,nuts, and chips. Turn batter into a well-greased 9x5x3-inch pan.
3. Bake 50 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan; cool on wire rack.
