Basket Liner

I love these old bushel baskets

Years ago you could purchase liners at your local drug store...... times sure have changed......

I’ve been wanting to make this Basket Liner. I had one for years, every time I visit my daughter in CO, oh look, there it is….. anyways,

I wanted one for myself. I found this pattern on Vintage Pattern Market Place.  The pattern is easy to follow, I need more oil clothe to make a few more.
                                          Happy Crafting.

Grammy Bear's Tea Party

Alex, Harmony, Elias, Grammy Bear, Suzy, Ella, Erin and Deby

"TEA TIME"

Every time I visit with my grandchildren, I always plan a tea

party.  It's a big deal.  We have been doing these parties since Miss Harmony

was around 6 years old.  We all dress in hats, and jewels and skirts; we plan a

menu with tea sandwiches and sweeties, along with yummy tea.

This tea party happen to fall on Valentine's Day, so in preparation for

party decorations, the grandkids and I did some valentine's

day crafts after school up until the big day.

First we made these

hanging hearts and hung

them from the dining

room light.

Then we made these

 colorful doilies.

Both Crafts are from

The day before the party, I

made the cookie dough,

rolled it out and let the kids

cut and decorate the sugar

cookies.

I had the girls decorate the table, Miss Harmony invited a friend.

Tea Party Menu -
Cucumber Cream Cheese
Square Sandwiches

Chicken Salad Heart Sandwiches

Sweeties - Sugar Cookies (BHG recipe, made by the kids), Brownies (made by Suzy), Cake Pops (made by Erin), Double Almond-Blackberry Blossoms (recipe online, made by me and Ella Bear)

Tea Served - Black Tea, Plum Black Tea and Pomegranate Passion Tea

Then of course comes

 the photos!  Suzy, Ella,

Deby.

Harmony and Alex.

Yep, Deby can not pose

 with a straight face...

Elias is a real trooper.  He

does all of the crafts

with us, and shows up

for the yummy food, then

checks out....

he's a good sport.

Ok, so Deby can pose

with a straight face.

This is Erin, she is my

son's new bride.....

(I'm sure she thinks we

are nuts.)

                   Welcome to the family, Erin.....

Our tea parties are great family fun.

Cabo Critters

The wild life here in Cabo is simply spectacular, so bright and colorful, and a plenty; of course you wouldn't want to get too close to most of these critters.  The small lizard hung out in our condo for a few days and the blue heron sunbathes atop the Wyndham hotel.  All of the rest of the photos were taken at the job site.

Birds - Blue Heron, Buzzards, Pelican

Lizards - Horney Toad

 Snakes and Tarantulas

Scorpions and Crabs

Bugs - Big Bugs - Giant Centipede and Bettlebug

Hornets and lots and lots of bees

And lastly, something everyone hears about but never really sees.......The monarch butterflies migration to Mexico...

Thanks for stopping by!

Hanging Towel with added Flare

Easy Hanging Towel
With my sewing supplies in WI, while I was there I was determined to bring something back with me to Mexico  so I could sew,  (even though I know I have to hand sew.) I went through my sewing bin for all I need to make my Hanging Towel I don't have one on my stove here, I miss my towel not falling off when I'm cooking.

While digging I found a finished towel  that was already stamped.
My wonderful sister bought a stamp with my trademark.
Now I have the pattern, the towel (material), the fat-quarters, pins, needles, thread, scissors (forgot a thimble).  I'll heal.....
